Soni Speight is a freelance illustrator based in South East England. She graduated from BIAD in 2008 with a Masters in Visual Communication. She produces images combining traditional illustration and print techniques with digital media, has a strong love for all forms of design and an enthusiasm for collaboration. Soni has a deep passion for books, especially picture books, and worked in a children’s literacy service for four years. Her current favourite children's illustrators are Oliver Jeffers, Mini Grey, Emily Gravett and Joel Stewart.

Oh, and she quite likes penguins too!
